The Rovers and Rangers Unit of Government College Banjar has been established in April, 2010. From its very inception the unit has been involved in different kinds of social activities.
The unit is being regularly participated in division level national festival celebrations like Independence Day and Republic Day. The members of Unit attended Training camp held at STC Tara Devi district Shimla in 2010. Along with it Four Rovers and Four Rangers attended State Level Pre-RD selection Camp held at STC Rewalsar, Disrict Mandi (H.P.) from 22-12-2019 to 27-12-2019 and two rovers selected for Pre-Rd camp held at Sanjauli District Shimla(H.P.). During the lockdown, due to COVID-19 pandemic the unit too played important role. The members of unit started a digital awareness Programme through which it made aware people how do we protect ourselves from COVID-19 infection by adopting safety measures. It also distributed home made cotton masks to general peoples along with police personnel.
