The literary society has been founded in GDC Banjar to promote language and literature and enhance creativity skills of the students. The department of English, Hindi and Sanskrit work together to realize the aims of the Literary society.
The society aims to create a group of creative, imaginative and thoughtful human beings. Every year the society organizes a Literary Society function in which literary events like debate, declamation, poetry writing and recitation, short story writing, quiz contests are presented by the students. Through these literary activities a love for literature and language is awakened among the students. This Literary society gives the students a chance to display their communication skills and instills confidence in them. The society also promotes researches in literature, discusses books and writers.
