Achievements of the Department

The Department of Music (Vocal) has consistently demonstrated excellence in cultural and musical activities at the university level. Students of Government College Banjar achieved remarkable success in the Inter-College Youth Festival (Group–2) organized by Sardar Patel University, held from 22nd to 24th December 2025 at Government College Karsog.

Our students won a total of four prestigious awards, bringing great pride to the institution. Madhu (B.Sc. 1st Year) secured First Position in Western Solo. Anu Kumari (B.A. 3rd Year) achieved Second Position in Folk Song Solo and Third Position in Light Vocal (Ghazal). Additionally, the college team earned Third Position in Group Song (Western).

The Principal congratulated the students and the Department of Music for this outstanding achievement, acknowledging their hard work, discipline, and dedicated guidance. The department continues to inspire students to pursue excellence through regular practice, commitment, and active participation in cultural events.
